Accounts created by your accountant
If your accountant set up AirBill for you, you still sign in with your own account — the accountant's own account belongs in the web portal.
When an accounting firm prepares AirBill for you, it doesn’t create a login for you. It creates the business and emails you an invitation. You make your own account by opening that link and continuing with Google, Apple, or your phone number — see Accept your accountant’s invitation.
”This account is an accountant account”
The AirBill app is for business owners. If you sign in with an identity that is registered as an accountant, the app signs you out again and points you to the AirBill web portal, where client work happens.
You’ll usually see this because the wrong account was picked in the Google or Apple dialog. Switch accounts there and continue with the one your invitation was sent to.
Which account is “yours”
The invitation is tied to the email address it was sent to. Continuing with a different Google or Apple account, or with a phone number, creates a separate AirBill account that the invitation doesn’t apply to. If that already happened, open the invitation link again from the right account, or ask your accountant to resend it to the address you actually use.
